Fair points but I think your semantic isomorphism between intelligence and IQ is a problem. Because every subsequent advice you gave is a type of intelligence on its own: imagination, ability to focus, spatial intelligence, etc.

I suggest you check the multiple intelligence theory by Robert Sternberg. If you don't want to go down the rabbit hole in google scholar and arXiv then have a look at my piece:
